Inhoudelijke beschrijving: Centraal op de afbeelding is de kleimolen afgebeeld waar de klei in de steen vormen geperst wordt. Links daarnaast het droogveld waar de stenen eerst opdrogen. Aan de rechterkant de steen oven waar het afbakken plaats vindt. Locatie duidelijk langs een rivier vanwege de kleiwinning. - Central to the image is the clay mill depicted where the clay is pressed in the molds. At the Left is the drying field where the stones dry before puting in the kiln. On the right the brick kiln for baking the bricks. Location plain along a river because of the clay extraction.
Specifieke beschrijving: This is a "artisanal" school board. Within the range of the method Lummel school boards there are quite a few that depict professions. Recognizable by the children in the classroom. By the story told by the teacher the pupil was encouraged at an early age to choose a profession. Many of the "Lummel" plates are adjusted through time and improved. Often small details like the lighting (Gas - Electric) or in the clothing.
